As the name would suggest, the Shroud Wood in Enshrouded is gathered from trees that are within the shrouded areas of the map. This means you’ll have to venture into the deadly fog in order to gather the valuable resource. There are many good places to farm Shroud Wood even in early-game, but the one we like the best is near the broken Braelyn Bridge.
To get to Shroud Wood farming location we are referring to, go North from Longkeep until you get to the broken bridge, and then look for a ramp to the right side of the bridge. The ramp will take you down to the enshrouded dried-out river bed beneath the bridge, where you can find some trees that you can chop down for Shroud Wood.

How to get Shroud Wood in Enshrouded
While gathering Shroud Wood, make sure to stay close to the ramp. If you venture too far away, you may find it that you don’t have enough time to get back to the top before the shroud corrupts your character. In the early-game, before any upgrades to the Flame Altar, you can stay in the shroud for only five minutes.
Another obvious, yet very important thing to remember is to carry an axe before you go farming Shroud Wood. And if you want to quicken up the resource gathering process, we recommend upgrading your Axe as soon as possible, and also getting the Lumberjack skill/talent, which will further improve your tree chopping efficiency. The more Shroud Wood you get, the better, as this resource finds its utilization in crafting weapons, and building blocks for your base.
Also, if you’ve gone into the fog, gathered the amount of Shroud Wood you need, and you still have a couple of minutes left on your shroud timer, you can use them to chop down some of the mint mushrooms that are also present in the shrouded areas. These mushrooms drop Shroud Liquid – another valuable resources that you will inevitably need at some point, so you might as well get it now. The same applies for killing the weaker mobs that roam the fog – killing them will drop shroud spores, which you’ll also need for a variety of recipes and upgrades.
