Helldivers is a challenging game, especially on higher difficulty, so every ounce of advantage you can access should be capitalized upon to its full extent. Most players who’ve spent a couple dozen hours with already know what the best stratagems, armor, and weapons are for a particular situation, but what many seem to have missed is the availability of Boosters in Helldivers 2. The Boosters are player enhancements that provide a unique bonus, such as better greater stamina, improved resistance to injury, fully stocked Ammo, Grenades, and Stims at the start of a game, and more. Albeit not as game-changing as picking the right stratagem or armor for a particular mission, remembering to equip a Booster before dropping in can give you a much-needed advantage for when things get rough (and they always do).

How to get Boosters in Helldivers 2
As other power-ups and equipment in the game, Boosters first need to be unlocked before you can use them in battle. To unlock/buy Boosters, you must go into the game’s Acquisition Centre, where you can spend medals earned from missions on different types of upgrades. From there, you can also get Boosters.

However, the bonus that a Booster gives you isn’t automatically applied. Instead, you must first enable the Booster by adding it to your loadout. You can equip only a single Booster per mission, so choose wisely. To enable your preferred Booster, go to the loadout screen and select the hexagon box next to your stratagems. Then you’ll be able to equip the Booster you want for that mission.
Are Boosters One-time Use in Helldivers 2?
Similarly to the stratagems, the Boosters aren’t single-use, but rather can be used infinite times, with a cooldown period between uses. However, note that you may sometimes notice that some of your Boosters may not be available to you. If this happens, it’s likely because another player has already picked the respective Booster. For this reason, it’s important to coordinate what Boosters are picked by which players in order to make the best use of these advantageous items.
Helldivers 2 Boosters List
At the moment, there are seven possible Boosters that you can use in Helldivers 2. Those are Hellpod Space Optimisation, Vitality Enhancement, UAV Recon Boost, Stamina Enhancement, Muscle Enhancement, Increased Reinforcement Budget, and Flexible Reinforcement Budget (this last is only available to Steeled Veterans players). Here is a description of what each of these Boosters as well as the in-game price for the respective Booster.:
- Hellpod Space Optimisation (Price: 15 Medals) – You drop in with full Ammo, Grenades, and Stims.
- Vitality Enhancement (Price: 20 Medals) – Enables and your teammates can resist injuries.
- UAV Recon Boost (Price: 40 Medals) – The effective radar range of all Helldivers is increased.
- Stamina Enhancement (Price: 75 Medals) – Provides all Helldivers with increased maximum Stamina and Stamina regeneration rate.
- Muscle Enhancement (Price: 70 Medals) – Makes traversing difficult terrain quicker and easier.
- Increased Reinforcement Budget (Price: 150 Medals) – Provides an increases to the number of available reinforcements.
- Flexible Reinforcement Budget (Price: 75 Medals) – Makes the arrival of new reinforcements quicker, once the current ones have been depleted.
