Since The Finals is available for Xbox, there’s a chance it might be added to the Xbox Cloud Gaming service in the future. The first thing we noticed was that you need an internet connection with about 25 Mbps, which we covered, and the game streamed really smoothly. We consistently got great quality with 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second, just like what GeForce Now promises. There were moments when our internet was a bit unstable, but GeForce Now tried to keep the game running smoothly by lowering the image quality, and we enjoyed the gaming session without major interruptions.

Playing The Finals on Mac using local gaming methods presents some challenges. Since the game isn’t natively available for macOS, and it features an anti-cheat system, the options are limited. Besides, this is a demanding game in terms of graphics and processing power, so you’d need a very powerful Mac, to run it effectively. So, if you have an older Mac, it’s unlikely to have a satisfactory gaming experience with any local gaming method.

Having The Finals MacBook experience with Parallels Desktop won’t work for a few reasons. First, the game needs DirectX 12, but Parallels doesn’t support that. In theory, you could play The Finals for Mac using CrossOver, but there’s a big problem: the game’s Easy Anti-Cheat feature we already mentioned above. This feature stops you from playing the game when using CrossOver or similar compatibility layer apps, which, sadly, rules out this alternative.
