Update: The Tri-Cameral meeting starts this Wednesday and to date we’ve only received ~30 responses. This is a perfect opportunity for scientists to get their requests heard by Apple. Apple takes these meetings very seriously. How seriously? Enough that they will send Bertrand Serlet, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Software Engineering, to talk with us at one of our discussions. We will be accepting requests until 5pm (PST) tomorrow for inclusion in the Tri-Cam discussions.

MacResearch.org along with it’s sister organizations MacEnterprise.org and MacLearningEnvironments.org will be participating in our yearly Tri-Cameral meeting Apple Computer in Cupertino this April 4th and 5th. One of the primary goals of these meetings is to relay directly to Apple product managers and engineers the issues, requests and needs that scientsts using Apple products have on the platform. Aside from filing feature/bug requests, this is one of the most effective means of getting the requests of scientists to those responsible for the various products at Apple.

The meetings cover a wide range of topics (to be determined). We are soliciting your feedback to help set the meeting track schedule, prioritize topics and identify areas that might be of particular concern for scientists on the platform.
