I came to exact same conclusion and opted to purchase a secondhand Mac Pro 2019 because the software I need is currently only supported on intel chips and I think it’s likely to be awhile till it will run natively on the M1 chipset. Future upgradablity of graphics cards, the afterburner card and the ability to use blackmagic cards also made me lean towards the MacPro.

Both Macs are phenomenal machines. We’re lucky to have the choice.]]></description>
