What happened to Tutorials?
By mrfearless47 at Fri, Aug 29 2008 4:42pm |
I've been enjoying and learning from the Cocoa tutorials. After topic 4, the ability to download the tutorials seems to have disappeared. Is there some special incantation needed to continue the download? Or are they bundled somewhere for detailed study? My intent was to bundle them together so that I could have them with me at all times on my Kindle or iPhone as a handy reference.
They are extremely useful, especially for someone scientifically focused coming from a FORTRAN, C/C++ background.
Thanks for your hard work on these.

Re: Tutorial Downloads
To be honest, I just got lazy with this. You can, of course, just choose 'Print...' and then the 'Print to PDF' option to get a file copy of it.
I hope that's good enough for most needs. I may clean them up, and bundle them in a book at some time (see article on lulu.com), but don't hold me to it.

Re: Tutorial Downloads
Thanks for your response. I would encourage you to clean these up and publish them at lulu.com. I have several "books" I've gotten from Lulu and these are as good, or far better, than many things I've paid a lot more for. Your writing is crisp and your explanations are clear and to the point. With another supplement like Aaron Hillegass's book on Cocoa, a lot of the mystery of developing for the Apple is removed.
I would certainly buy a couple of bound copies to keep at home and at the office.
